are they real
do they exist here on earth
i am sure that i have met many
in my time here

perhaps it is better to believe
that each person is composed of good and bad
and we are the true angels and demons
i know that i have been both in my life
sometimes deliberately
oftentimes unintentionally

i really try to be a good person
i try not to hurt others
and to bring joy into other's lives
i can only think of a very few people
that i have ever wished ill upon
and it was quickly reversed

i am so lucky
i am loved
and cherished
and appreciated
and i am lucky
because i do not often
feel jealousy or envy

i think i must have had a rough life
last time
because this time
although i had a rocky start
the middle of this life has been great
i hope appreciating what you have
counts
because i do!
