its been a whirlwind these past few days

winter slipped in while i was sleeping

frosty mornings and cool rainy days

today i see blue skies and hope to get out

and take some photographs of the changing leaves

patiently waiting for the ginko down the lane to turn and fall

we almost lost it to the saw earlier this month

but hopefully we will have him for one more turning

so much to do inside

but i am not up to the tasks

i get lost in the sunlight on the leaves

the gentlest breeze turns my head

and i want to be outside

lost in the season

tomorrow is the herbst tour and i cannot wait

the weather will be perfect

and the company even better
