last evening i saw
the waxing crescent moon
high in the sky
it was huge
truly like God's thumbnail
holding the earth in it's palm
i can't remember which direction it was tilted
i thought i did
but i've started second guessing myself now
i will try to get out early
and see if it is visible tomorrow
we are supposed to get showers
so it may be too cloudy
i sure wish i'd taken a picture now
it was so simple
the whitish crescent
against a pink backdrop of sky
